Katniss

Hi my name is Katniss, I am a very special girl born in Healy, Alaska from an accidental litter.  I was taken in by a family with three small children.  They tried to work with me but I am a very active girl and ended up on a chain in their backyard.  They found me an experienced foster home where I stayed for 6 months and I received good training and lots of play with sled dogs.  Wolf hybrids are illegal in Alaska, so I had to head outside of Alaska where I could be safe.  Texas Wolfdog took me in and I made a 4,000-mile journey!!  I am a playful loving girl, who does great on a leash, does well inside the house and is a big beautiful ball of joy.   

As of 2025, Katniss now resides and can be seen at Colorado Wolf & Wildlife.
