Kiran is a two‑year‑old low‑content male wolfdog with a heart as warm as his beautiful orange-tinted coat—the very trait that inspired his name. He may be a big boy, but underneath that tall frame is a gentle, sensitive soul who has already overcome more than most animals ever should.

Rescued from an abuse and starvation case in Oklahoma, Kiran arrived at Texas Wolfdog Project underweight and uncertain of the world. Despite everything he’s endured, he has held tight to a remarkable sweetness. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give him just a moment, a kind voice, and a little space—and he quickly blossoms into a friendly, affectionate companion.

Kiran is wonderfully dog‑social and gets along very well with other canines, often finding comfort and confidence by being around them. Whether he’s exploring quietly, sharing space with a buddy, or showing off his goofy side (especially when dressed in festive accessories!), Kiran radiates a gentle joy that’s impossible not to love.
Once he is done with his heartworm treatment he will be ready for a forever home that will give him the patience, respect, enrichment, and security every wolfdog deserves. Kiran would thrive with:
